![]() Encyclopedia of Water Garden PlantsGreg Speichert and Sue Speichert. Encyclopedia of Water Garden Plants. Timber Press. 2004. Water gardens always draw my attention even if they are surrounded by outstanding garden borders. There is just something special about plants that can grow submerged in water. Therefore, I find Encyclopedia of Water Garden Plants.fascinating because of the depth of information provided. The Speicherts' writing style illustrates the depth of understanding they have on their subject. The information provided in the first three chapters should make it possible for everyone to start a small water garden. The chapters dealing with specific groups of plants including both hardy and tropical waterlilies, lotus, marginals, irises, floating, and submerged plants gives enough detail to allow you to plant these plants in the appropriate location and grow them successfully. Recommendation If you have room for water gardens, you need this book. I believe it is the best book on water gardens available in today's book market. Timber Press books are always high quality (print and pictures). You'll never go wrong picking up a book from this publisher. |
